Women With Good Spirits is a social group that I put together after learning about a similar group that a friend of mine goes to in another city. The basic idea is that once a month, we get together and invite a speaker from a local charity or non-profit to give a presentation of approximately 15-20 minutes. Then the rest of the time is spent socializing and asking the speaker questions, etc. The total length of each meeting could be anywhere from 1.5 – 3 hours.
RSVP is required and we ask for a $5+ donation per person. (100% of the donations go to the charity of the month.) Each person is asked to bring either a bottle of wine or an appetizer – an email is sent out a few days before each meeting letting each group know what they are being asked to bring.

It has come to my attention that an earlier start time might be beneficial in motivating people to attend our meetings. This month, we are going to try an earlier start time of 6:30 and see if our attendance goes up at all. We have had great attendance success since we started having our meetings at Revolution Wines, so why not shoot for the moon and try to get even more of you to join us? I would also love to hear your feedback on this, so let me know what you think, either in the comments of this post or in person at the meeting.

Thank you everyone for making our first meeting at Revolution Wines such a success!! As I mentioned at our meeting, I have come to the realization that this month is our 2 year anniversary! I am very grateful that all of you wonderful women have continued to show up and have helped to spread the word. We are successful thanks to all of you!!

I am very excited to announce that Revolution Wines has offered to host our monthly meetings. And not only are they giving us free space to host our meetings, they are also offering everyone FREE wine tastings. If you have not checked them out, you definitely should. In addition to great wines, they also offer a very delicious menu. So join us this month for our first meeting at Revolution Wines.
